Welcome! In these pages you will find tutorial materials for the PPLE Introduction to Statistical Analysis tutorials. In session 2025/26, we will be working with the software package SPSS which can be downloaded for a small fee from SURFSPOT or accessed for free via connection to an UvA virtual desktop. The course is supported by the textbook, Statistics for research with a guide to SPSS, by George Argyrous.

Every page contains video demonstrations of techniques featured in the lectures and tutorial meetings using datasets available for download on the course canvas page. For questions about these materials, please get in touch!

Details of the in-class pair/group assignments will be published on canvas. Please prepare a single document (.doc or .pdf) containing your answers and ensure that you upload on time via the submission points!
