Preface

Welcome! In these pages you will find tutorial materials for the PPLE Skills and Research Methods for Psychology tutorials. In session 2025/26, we will be working with JASP (JASP Team, 2025) which can be downloaded here or which can be accessed via connection to an UvA virtual desktop.

Every tutorial page features video demonstrations which are often based on examples presented in the course textbook, Discovering Statistics using JASP (Field et al., 2025), and the accompanying datasets prepared by Andy Field. All of these datasets can be downloaded directly from the textbook’s companion website.
